OPEN CALL: audio/video contributions for symposium

Audio/video contributions to the Curating Diversity symposium 2021 are now being accepted. Participation in the symposium is not required. Deadline May 2nd.

In the weeks leading up to the symposium, we invite everyone to send us a short video or audio contribution relating to either, or both, of the following questions:

  • What does freedom sound like?
  • How do you imagine the sound of the future?

With this open call, we would like to gather different representations of non-colonial and decolonizing practices around the globe. All contributions will be presented in an online gallery to inspire discussion during the Curating Diversity symposium on May 6-7, 2021.

Interested parties are invited to submit their ideas in the form of video, music, sound, spoken, written, performed formats (max 5 minutes/ mp4, wmv, avi, mov, mp3 format).

Contributions are voluntary and not linked to registration for the symposium. Deadline: May 5th, 2021.

Upload your contribution here.

  1. Dear Organisers,

I was hoping to upload a video contribution for the symposium, under the theme ‘how do you imagine the sound of the future?’; unfortunately, I cannot upload it via the form because the file size is too big. The video is well under 5 minutes so I hope you will accept it. I am dropping the link here in case of interest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8QESLNJwBk&ab_channel=RLeiaDevadason

    Thank you very much!

    Sincerely,
    Leia
