An outdoor, immersive performance from Sandeep Bhagwati and a diverse group of musicians
At the 2022 OORtreders Festival, organised by C-Takt and Sounds Now partner Musica Impulscentrum, composer Sandeep Bhagwati worked with local and international musicians over 3 days to create a site specific performance based on his experimental radio play ‘Beim Ertrinken zu singen‘. This meditative mixture of sound, music, singing and reading was presented as the sun set in the Klankenbos sound art forest, in Belgium. Festival guests, local joggers, children and adults enjoyed this unusual and haunting performance that connected cultures through improvisation and mixed instrumentation.
