Sound Art in Public Spaces – brochure

A photographic presentation of the sound art installation taking place at the Wonder Creativity Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium. Presented by Wilde Westen in the context of the Sounds Now project.

The exhibition recreates a natural ecosystem inside the Van Marcke industrial site, bringing together sounds from different natural elements: water (Liquid Aesthesia), air (The Monads), plants / fire (Burned Cork – Resilience), biodiversity (Swarm). At the same time, it aims to reflect on the climate crisis and the need of regeneration and preservation by creating a public space where natural elements coexist, contaminate and transform each other.
