Eyeonart documents the concept, participants and artists of the Curating Lab that took place in May 2021 at Musica.
This Curating Lab, the first in the Sounds Now project, set up a curating workshop led by Christine Eyene with members of the community with the aim of facilitating the emergence of new voices, diversity representation, and new forms of agency in the field of arts and culture. The group was actively involved in the creation and curation of two new commissions by Paris-based South African artist and DJ Mo Laudi, and Berlin-based Cameroonian artist Elsa M’bala. The lab was filmed by Brussels and Hamburg-based South African artist Megan-Leigh Heilig.
Explore the Lab in detail through the Eyeonart website, which will take you through the concept behind the Lab, the participants and artists involved and the beautiful location on the Musica grounds in Neerpelt, Belgium. You’ll also get a sneak peek of Megan-Leigh Heilig’s beautiful film documenting the entire process, to be presented to the public in fall 2021.
